Marion City-County Retired Teachers Association (MCCRTA) was established in 1953. The group meets six times per year, usually four luncheon meetings and two dinner meetings. The meetings include a balance of entertainment and informative programs.
The purpose of the Association:
- to maintain and promote the general welfare of retired educators,
- to promote good fellowship among members,
- to support education where and when needed,
- to encourage member to volunteer their talents and services for the benefit of the community,
- to encourage active educators to prepare for retirement,
- to familiarize educators with the benefits of membership in the local, state, and national Associations.
MCCRTA is affiliated with the Ohio Retired Teachers Association (ORTA) and the National Retired Teachers Association (NRTA), a division of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).
