Grant Winner Amanda Baumgartner Recognized
at the Marion City County Retired Teachers Dinner Meeting
Amanda Baumgartner, McKinley Elementary was a guest of the MCCRTA at a May 1st Dinner Meeting held recently at the Tri-Rivers Career Center. Mrs. Baumgartner was awarded the 2016-17 Mini-Grant of $500.00 for her project titled “Camera Club”. The funds were used to purchase six cameras, camera chips, an electronic photo display device and other items to support students’ learning about the features of a digital camera. The photos taken in and around the school focused on the learning environment in which students practice the seven habits of highly effective people and strive to become leaders.
Linda Aufdencamp, MCCRTA Mini-Grant Chairperson, and Amanda Baumgartner, grant winner, display photos of second graders at McKinley participating in the project.
